Fees in 2017-2018
1. Caesarean section & anaesthetic. Excludes antibiotics, painkillers.
$1,900 - $2,500 (<5 kg).
$2,500 - $3,800 (5.1 - 35 kg). Depends on time taken and number of puppies.

2. Castration (neuter) & anaesthetic - male cats, hamsters, rabbits. Excludes e-collar, antibiotics, painkillers.  
$150 - $200 for male cats, guinea pigs and rabbits.
$75 - $95 for male hamsters.

3. Castration (neuter) & anaesthetic - Male dogs with 2 descended testicles.  Excludes e-collar, antibiotics, painkillers
$250 (<5 kg). $350 (5 - 14.9 kg).
$400 (15 - 24.9 kg). $450 (>25 kg)

Undescended testes. Additional $150 to remove one undescended testes & $300 to remove two undescended testes.

Neuter male hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs  $100-$150. Excludes medication & painkillers.

4. Vasectomy (no removal of testes). Additional $150 to castration (neuter) fees

5. Consultation 
$30 - 60.  9.30 am - 7 pm on weekdays and 9.30 am - 4 pm on weekends (except public holidays)
$50 (public holidays, after 5 pm) 
$250 - $400 for house-calls. Depends on location and public holidays.

6. Debarking* & anaesthetic
Ventriculocordectomy (laryngotomy or ventral approach). Excludes antibiotics, painkillers & hospitalisation for 3 days.
$550 - $700 (small breeds like Miniature Schnauzers).
$700 - $950 (large breeds, 15 - 25 kg).  
$200 - $300 for oral approach.
Depends on situation* and size of dog as alternatives to debarking are strongly advised.

7. Declawing* surgery & anaesthestic. Excludes antibiotics, painkillers & hospitalisation for 2 days.
$350 - $450. Two front paws. Declawing cats.  Depends on family safety/conflict/property damage situation as alternatives to declawing are strongly advised.*

8. De-ticking. $250 - $350 including sedation, clipping bald, bathing, tick removal. Video: De-ticking services

10. Eye surgeries. Entropion surgery and eye corneal ulcer surgery & anaesthetic. Excludes antibiotics, painkillers & hospitalisation for 3 days.
$500 - $800 depending on the severity of the condition. Eye entropion surgery for Shar-Pei puppies.

11. Bone fractures. Pin, plates and other procedures including anaesthetic. $2,000 - $4,000.  Excludes antibiotics, painkillers & IV drip.

12. Gastrotomy to remove foreign bodies in the stomach/intestine. $1,800 - $2,500. Exlcudes antibiotics, painkillers & IV drip. Gastrotomy educational video for vet students

13. General anaesthetic gas, isoflurane, excluding sedation. $100 (<5 min).
$300 (5-15 min). $400 (16-30 min).
$500 (31-45 min).  $600  (46-60 min)

Sedation.  $100 - $150 for sedation (size of dog)

Oxygen therapy. From $100 (<1 hour)

14. Hernia repair & anaesthetic. Excludes antibiotics, painkillers
$900 - $2,500 depending on the numbers, severity and location of hernias. With mesh, additional $500. A stitch in time saves nine

15. Lab tests
$60 Heart worm test (blood)/Parvovirus tests (faeces). Babesia tests, excluding PCR tests.
PCR tests for Babesia. Request quote.

$80. Tests for parvovirus, coronavirus, distemper giardiasis/FIV.

$50. Urine tests.

$150. Complete Blood tests. Stone analysis.

$380. Histology. Biopsy.

17. Spay & anaesthetic - female cats. Excludes E-collar, antibiotics, painkillers.

$150 - $200 (depends on weight). Add $70 if caterwauling or on heat.
$250 - $350 (pregnant).

18. Spay & anaesthetic - female dogs. Excludes antibiotics, painkillers, Elizabeth collars, IV drips. 
$300 (<5 kg) e.g. Chihuahua.
$350 - $400 (5.1 - 14.9 kg) e.g. Miniature Schnauzer, Shih Tzu.

19. Pyometra surgery & anaesthetic: $1,500 (small breeds like Chihuahua and cats). $2,000 (medium breeds like Schnauzers). $3,000 (big breeds like Golden Retrievers). Excludes antibiotics, painkillers, IV drips.

20. Tail amputation surgery and anaesthesia.  Excludes antibiotics, painkillers, Elizabeth collars..
$40 (<3 days old)
$200 - $300  (4 - 14 days old) includes anaesthesia
$300 - $400 (2-4 weeks old) includes anaesthesia 
$400 - $600  (>4 weeks old) includes anaesthesia.  breeds e.g. Jack Russell & Rottweiler. A tail-less Rottweiler







21. Teeth scaling and anaesthetic. Excludes antibiotics, painkillers, IV drips.
$250 - $300 depending on severity of periodontitis. $20/tooth extracted.

*9-in-one vaccine refers to disease protection against 9 diseases. These are the viruses of distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, adenovirus type 2, parainfluenza, coronavirus and 4 leptospirosis bacteria.

25. Vet health examination after puppy purchase/for export.
